Our Mission
Overview

As one of the largest private adoption agencies in Connecticut with offices in Norwalk and Branford, as well as Harrison, NY, Family & Children’s Agency, is perfectly suited to help you complete your family. Our commitment to inclusivity means we are proud to work with families of all kinds and faith backgrounds, including those who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, married and unmarried couples, and single applicants.

When you work with Family & Children’s Agency you become part of our family. During the adoption process, we hold regular trainings, events, and community-building opportunities including a Waiting Family Support Group, annual Birth Parent Panel, Adoption 101 training, annual adoptive family celebrations, a Post-Adoption Support Group, and more. As a part of a larger human services organization, our programs have the unique advantage of access to comprehensive resources, programs, and support for families both during and after the adoption process.

FCA is fully licensed and accredited according to both state and federal standards and our adoption program has held an active Hague Accreditation since 2008.

As a part of a larger human services organization, Family & Children's Agency's Adoption Program has a unique advantage which includes access to comprehensive resources, programs and support for families both during and after successful adoptions. We offer several annual events for our families such as:

  • Annual Birth Parent Panel
  • Adoption 101 Training Day (three times a year)

We also offer a FREE monthly series of informational meetings for families to meet our staff and get answers to any questions about adoptions in New York or Connecticut.
