Thank you Volunteers: Tauck

Jun 03, 2025 | ASPIRE, Seniors, Volunteers

Tauck has been a valued partner to Family & Children’s Agency since 2014, when their team first supported our Senior Services program by sponsoring a holiday party for older adults. Since then, their generosity has extended across many of our programs as they’ve donated holiday gifts to families, contributed to our annual backpack and school supply drive, and organized a diaper drive that provided essential items for families in need. Tauck volunteers also assembled hygiene kits for individuals experiencing homelessness. In 2019, they brought their creativity and enthusiasm to our ASPIRE after-school program, hosting engaging holiday celebrations complete with games, crafts, food, and a photo booth. These annual events have become a highlight for our students, who eagerly anticipate Tauck’s return each December. FCA is deeply thankful for Tauck’s ongoing support over the past 11 years and we look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership. Today, they answer a few questions:

Why is it important for Tauck to participate in volunteer work?
At Tauck, we believe that making a difference starts right where we live. Volunteering close to home strengthens the places that shape us and reflects our deep commitment to service, connection, and meaningful impact – not just through travel, but through everyday action.

What does volunteering mean to you personally?
To me, volunteering is about giving back to the people and places that have supported us. It’s a powerful way to show gratitude, build new connections, and make a real difference in the lives of those around us.

Is there a moment or memory from volunteering that stands out to you?
One of my favorite memories is teaming up with my Tauck colleagues to plan a holiday party for middle schoolers in the ASPIRE program. From crafts to games to karaoke, it was a full-on team effort – and seeing the pure joy on the students’ faces made every moment of planning worth it. It reminded me just how much can happen when we come together for a common cause.

Why should companies include volunteering for their employees in their plans?
Volunteering doesn’t just build stronger teams – it builds stronger bonds with the world around us. Supporting employee volunteerism sparks personal growth, deeper connections, and a sense of pride that extends far beyond the workplace.
