New Grant from Near & Far Aid

Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) has received a $12,500 grant from Near & Fair Aid, to support the Agency’s work with local youth in the ASPIRE after-school program.

Near & Far Aid, has been dedicated to eliminating the causes and effects of poverty in Fairfield County for nearly two decades.
ASPIRE, the Agency’s middle and high school after-school program, is has programming at both the former Ben Franklin school in Norwalk and on the campus of Norwalk Community College (NCC), offers academic support and guidance which will allow students to graduate high school and be college or career ready.

“Near & Far Aid is a longtime supporter of FCA, specifically the ASPIRE program,” said Robert F. Cashel, FCA President & CEO. “Many students in the ASPIRE program face barriers to success. Near & Far Aid’s support of ASPIRE demonstrates their commitment to investing in the positive development of youth in our community, which will have a great impact on both them and the community in the future.”
