Norwalk, Conn. – More than 10,000 diapers were donated to families in need through Family & Children’s Agency’s diaper drive. In addition, diaper rash cream, wipes, and funds to purchase more supplies stocked the shelves. These supplies will be given directly to families in need through FCA’s programs.
Diapers can be a financial burden on families, especially after such a difficult year. Not being able to afford diapers is a leading cause of maternal depression, and one in three families in the U.S. struggles with diaper need.
The event is organized by FCA’s Junior Board of Advisors, a group of young professionals dedicated to supporting the mission of the agency, brings in thousands of diapers each year.
“The Diaper Drive is a show of support from the community to our youngest and most vulnerable neighbors. Thank you to those who contributed – this makes a real difference in the lives of families,” said Robert F. Cashel, President and CEO of Family & Children’s Agency.
