Family & Children’s Agency Welcomes Carolyn O’Brien and Kenneth Waller to Board of Directors

Norwalk, Conn. – Family and Children’s Agency (FCA) proudly welcomes the newest members of its Board of Directors, Carolyn O’Brien, a nonprofit leader, and Kenneth Waller, MBA, FACHE, a committed healthcare executive, both residents of Norwalk.

“We are delighted to welcome Carolyn and Ken to our Board of Directors. Their expertise and passion for strengthening a community make them a wonderful addition to our leadership team. I look forward to the meaningful work we will accomplish together,” said Robert F. Cashel, President & CEO of Family and Children’s Agency.

Carolyn has over 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, philanthropic consulting, and outcomes-based grantmaking. She has dedicated her career to advancing the missions of organizations that serve communities and families.

She is the Co-Founder of Stepping Stones Museum for Children, Founding Partner of Mission Bridge, and formerly the Executive Director of Viking Global Foundation. In addition to these roles, she has volunteered for numerous community organizations. A graduate of Smith College, Carolyn also received an MBA from J.L. Kellogg School of Management. She began her career in advertising before transitioning to nonprofit work. 

“I’m thrilled to be joining the FCA team and supporting its social services mission, which is more critical than ever,” said Carolyn.

Kenneth has over 20 years of experience pioneering innovative healthcare service models to address the medical demands of society’s most vulnerable populations across the United States and beyond. Currently the CEO/COO of Norwalk Community Health Center, he also serves on multiple non-profit governing boards in the Norwalk region. Kenneth holds a BA in Public Administration with a concentration in Public Finance and Public Policy from KEAN University and an MBA in Healthcare Systems Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Silberman College of Business.

“I am thrilled to join FCA as a board member and am looking forward to working with the leadership to improve the health and wellbeing of residents in the Greater Norwalk region,” said Ken.  

FCA is honored to welcome Carolyn and Ken to its leadership and looks forward to their contributions in helping the Agency continue its mission of building better lives for children, families, adults, and seniors throughout the community.
