COVID-19 has had a severe impact on many community members’ ability to meet their basic needs. If you or someone you know needs assistance, below is a list of resources that can help.

Utilities

The Connecticut Energy Assistance Fund is offering rebates between $200 and $500 to qualifying ENERGY STAR central air conditioning or heat pump systems.

TracFone/Straighttalk is partnering with Safelink Wireless to provide clients free minutes, bill pay assistance, and they are forgiving reactivation fees. Click or call 1-800-723-3546 for more details.

Verizon is suspending late fees/re-connection fees and by providing bill assistance and extra minutes to those who can show proof that have been unemployed due to COVID-19.

AT&T is providing free/reduced cost Wi-Fi/hotspots through their phone, unlimited data for all existing customers, and are providing services at $10 per month for families with no income, low income, or financial strain due to COVID-19.

Cricket is waiving re-connection fees and all service fees on payments. Dial 611 from a Cricket issued phone or dial 1-800-274-2538 to enroll in any COVID-19 relief programs.

Addiction Recovery Resources

FCA’s Project REWARD is accepting new clients. Project REWARD is a women-only outpatient substance abuse program focusing on healthy coping skills, relapse prevention, interpersonal relationships, and parenting.

CT AA meetings

Mountainside Treatment Center offers a variety of support groups for individuals in recovery, family members, the LGBTQ community, and young people, as well as free activities to support mental health

High Watch Recovery Center has daily online meetings at 8am, 12pm and 7:30pm
