“Saturday Night Fever” Raises $290K to Benefit Family & Children’s Agency

The IMAGINE 2011 Benefit for Family & Children’s Agency, “Saturday Night Fever,” raised over $290,000 to support family services for more than 10,000 people throughout Fairfield County and beyond. Guests dressed in “disco dynamite” style dined and danced the night away while bidding on fabulous vacations, entertainment, special events, and many more items.

JetBlue Airways was the lead corporate sponsor. Other corporate sponsors included FactSet Research Systems, Jarden Corporation, Marsh & McLennan Companies, Media Storm, People’s United Bank, and Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan LLC. Ms. Barnes expressed thanks to all of the sponsors and donors, saying, “Without our sponsors’ dedication to FCA and the event, we wouldn’t be able to continue to reach out to the community and FCA’s clients. Our deepest gratitude is extended for your continued support.”
Ms. Taverna added thanks to the providers of food and beverages for the event, noting, “We are so grateful to Matthew John Catering and his staff who provided a delicious main course and invaluable behind-the-scenes event planning.” Appetizers, wine and beer, and desserts were provided by Abis, A&S Deli, Coromandel, Marly’s, Simply Delicious Catering, Thali, the Village Market, Rolling Hills Country Club, Vista Wine & Spirits, Stew Leonard’s, and Tastefully Yours Catering. She continued, “We could not have had such a wonderful event without the great support of these local restaurants and businesses, and we encourage everyone to patronize these generous establishments in our community.”
Gary Schuler graciously offered his service as the evening’s auctioneer, and DJ Lil Rye provided wonderful music for dancing.
Rob Cashel, President and CEO of Family & Children’s Agency, summed up the evening by saying, “Everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Saturday Night Fever’ benefit. I am so grateful to our co-chairs for all of their creativity and hard work in planning and organizing the event. I also greatly appreciate all of those who attended and helped to support our work with vulnerable children, families, adults and seniors in this area.”
