At FCA, we believe in a "strength-based" approach. Our staff is committed to respecting each unique family situation and to using the strengths and skills that each person brings to the family. Our priorities are the safety of children, and child-centered, family-focused services. We work closely with the Department of Children & Families (DCF) in all our Family Support Programs, offering: assessment, home-based visitation and support, counseling, education (parenting skills, substance abuse prevention, health care, budgeting, job skills), case coordination, and access to community resources. Assistance ranges range from two to six hours per week for three to six months. These intervention programs include: Intensive Safety Program (ISP) ISP is a short-term, intensive, in-home service which reduces immediate safety factors that have led to the removal of a child or children from the home. ISP partners with individuals, families, organizations and communities to help families successfully meet life’s challenges and opportunities. DCF referrals only. Reconnecting Families Program (RFP) RFP provides clinical support for families whose child(ren) are placed out of the home by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and whose goal is reunification. DCF referrals only. For more information, call Tiffany McCarthy at 203.604.1230, ext. 312 or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
