Children’s Aid of Darien
Children’s Aid was founded in 1940 by a group of Darien women who wanted to make a difference in their community. Children’s Aid provides support to Family & Children’s Agency through its fundraising efforts, by publicizing the Agency’s work in the community, and by serving as volunteers. Below are a few of its annual fundraising events.
- Bridge Luncheon
- Wine Tastings
- Art Shows
- Theatre & Trunk Shows
- Tag Sales
For the past three years, Children’s Aid has provided Thanksgiving Dinner for clients who are homeless and who are a part of the Agency’s Community Connections Drop-In Center. Its members are also involved in many hands-on-activities. For example, they are helping with the Agency’s After School Program and in bringing families together through reading programs for young children.
Children’s Aid now has over 100 members who volunteer their time and services to support Family & Children’s Agency. Children’s Aid welcomes new members. For more information, contact Rita Marber.
Children’s Aid is a 501(C)(3) organization. All contributions are tax deductible.
